I have a part that came off of my 38 Cabriolet. For the life of me I can't figure out where it goes. HELP!

Behind the grill, in front of the radiator. I call it a splitter. It pinches between the grill halves. The holes along the right side of your first picture line up with the screw holes down the inside center of your grill. It'll have an offset for the hand crank right behind the crank hole in the grill. I'm sorry that I don't have a good picture. You can sort of see it in this photo. Feel free to ask any questions. I'll help when I can.

It is perfectly described by Tiny,
It is fastened between the two halves of the grille. It was used to direct air through the grille in cross winds. also kind of rienforced the grille

I think it adds to the look of the car too. Without it you would see right through the grill from side to side .

Thank you guys for your answers. As I told Tiny in my PM to him I do remember taking it out. Now I have to paint it. Here I thought that I was done painting.

So now that the synapse has fired & you remember it and where it goes you won't need any more pictures?
