I was asked the difference between the toe board plates in 1929-32 Chevys. The attached photo with the round center hole is 1931-32 passenger cars. The set with oval hole is 1929-30 passenger and 1929-32 trucks. Note that there upper truck plates with the passage for the wiring harness as well.

Thanks Chipper, I was looking through mine for a parts wanted and gave up. Some slight differences even in the ones that look the same. What do you think the bottom flat one(second from left on bottom pieces) is from?

thanks

Dave

I will need to check to be sure but am thinking the second for the left on bottom pieces is 4 cylinder not early 6.

Dave/Chipper,
I have been looking for a lower toe board plate for a 1931 special sedan. Do either of you have an extra?
Also has anyone used the firewall pad the filling station sells? is it a good reproduction? Worth the money?

Thanks, Carl

The firewall pad is an excellent reproduction. It was a lot harder to install than I expected but an awl became my best friend. I will have to look to see if I have a bottom piece.

Good product. As I recall it took some work to get it installed. I believe I used some long bolts to get it in place .

I'll third that. The pad is great quality and a good fit.

Thanks for the feedback everyone!

Thank you Dave for taking the time to look for the lower toe board. I am eager to round up the parts that I realized are missing.
This Forum is a Great resource.
Still hunting for Sill Plates and Engine splash pans.

Carl,

Are you talking about the piece where the accelerator foot rest is or one of those I have pictured?

Dave,

One that you have pictured in photo 2 "toe board piece metal bottom" I have a 31 special sedan.

I ordered a Firewall pad from ebay as the Filling Station has them on back order. Same price same photos.

Thanks, Carl

I think this is a 31 but I am not 100%. It does look like the bottoms in Chipper's photo. Anyway if you want it send me a PM and let me know what you think is a fair price. Shipping should be small flat rate.

Something has gone wrong since the server change. I cannot view this photo or any others anymore.

Well now the photos are fixed ...That's good!
