I just picked up my 32 confederate this week. My maiden voyage ended up with a broken linkage and no ability to accelerate, luckily I was only 2 houses from home. I have the repair manual and have been looking through service news. I am hoping someone might have a picture of what it looks like to identify missing parts.

It looks like the bolt has broken off that holds the bell crank and spring return brackets to the block, seen in the upper part of the picture, is a Broken bolt thread in the engine side.

If the engine splash pans are on the car you may find the remainder of the bolt lying in the pan.

Thanks for the quick replies! Is this pic an accurate picture of what this should look like? Just trying to determine what’s missing and how things are oriented. Thanks

Here are some more pics of the linkage. Trying to figure how it’s configured and what kind of bolt to use, size..etc. I read it’s a shoulder bolt. Are there springs that are used? I didn’t find any when I got the car back to the garage. I appreciate any help.
