I am looking to get my interior mirror re-plated and the plating shop said to just break the glass to get it ready. Curious if others have done so and how they replaced the glass -is it crimped in or just glued?

After checking pricing on reproduction vs. re-plating I have decided to go with the reproduction .

I put a reproduction for a different year on my 38. It has a day night setup which I find very helpful
My 1951 1 Ton is now on the road! My 38 Master 4 Door is also now on the road .

The reproduction I am looking at is the day/night one for 51 and is still less than re-plating.
