I attest to the value of Ray's write up. Not only is it a great authoritative resource, the format is VERY entertaining! I have read it a few times and have a hard copy with greasy finger prints all over it. luv2

For an amateur engine builder's perspective on rebuilding a '28 Chevy engine, check out my story of rebuilding Lurch's engine at the following link: Resurrecting a '28 4 banger

Yes, the School is in Session PDF is in the list of Technical Articles that is in the Members area off of the main VCCA home page (vcca.org). As the previous sentence implies, you have to be a club member to access it.

There are many other great benefits to joining the club in addition to the Technical Articles.

1. Being able to use the forum's Search Function
2. Being able to upload photos directly onto the club's website.
3. Getting an award-winning monthly magazine (the Generator and Distributor)
4. And lots more.

All my best, Dean
