Hi, I am restoring a '48 Fleetmaster , 4 dr sedan.
Need to know the color on,
the floor, ( both sides)
the inner side of the roof ( which will be covered by the headliner)
the inner side of the fenders,
Inner side of the bonnet and boot lid,
inner side of the door pockets.
Iam changing the rocker panels and floor and the color on the
supports is needed as well to further protect them from rust.
What's the correct color ? Medium Gray or Dark Beige or Black ?
Please advise.

The body less fenders and hood was painted at the Fisher Body Plant. The doors and boot lids were attaced That means the area behind the rear fenders and under side of the boot lid are body color. The under side of the body is a medium gray semi-gloss as wel as the interior floor.
The under side of the bonnet and fenders is semi-gloss black. Besure to attach sme insulating mateerial to the under side f the roof and interior floor.
Not sure as to what you mean by door pockets.

Thanks for valuable input.
By door pockets, I mean the area between the innerside of the door skin and door pad fitting panel.

Will the innerside of the door skin be in medium gray as the floor or body color ?

I know we've had the discussion before of what color the underside of the body is. As I recall, maybe the late 30s/early 40s cars had the medium gray for the underside of the body (?), but as I recall when I refinished the underside of my '48 convertible, the underside of the body was the same semi-gloss black that you see on inner fender panels, back side of the fenders, etc. Maybe someone else has an untouched '48 that can chime in on this, but I don't recall ever seeing any gray paint on my '48.

The doors were attached to the body when the body was painted. Doors had no hardware, glass, and trim . The edges of the doors was sprayed with overspray reaching the inner panel believe a black was used on the floor bottoms in some plants and bodies assembled in other countrys.

Thanks again for the information.
So , inside the body shell ( inner roof, inside the doors, floor etc) it was a medium gray semi gloss,
the inner side of the fenders and innerside of the bonnet was black,
I hope I have understood it correctly.. do correct me if wrong.
Thanks and regards,
