We finally painted my Dad's 47 Chevrolet Convertible (after 45 years of restoration). Does anyone know if the front fender extensions on the front door of a 47 Chevy convertible has some type of gasket material between the extensions and the door? I didn't see any when we removed the extension from the doors and I want to make sure that we don't damage the paint when putting on the extensions.

Thanks,

Perol

I made my own using some felt roofing paper I had on hand.

Thank you. I will probably purchase the gaskets from Chevs of the 40s.
