Which of the screws (from top to bottom of the windshield inside vertical molding) holds the accessory compass?

Consider that I have a rearview mirror installed so; above the mirror or below and which of them get which screws/locations?

Thanks a heap in advance,

Charlie computer

Charlie here is a shot from a 1941 Chevrolet training film. At the top edge of the photo you can see the rearview mirrow, so it may help as a guide how far below it was advertised to be.
