With all the wildfires hitting WA,OR, and CA, it might be a good idea for folks to check up on fellow members residing near these disasters. I would especially urge Area Directors to follow up with their regions in affected areas.

Let's help each other out.

I live in Napa CA. The Hennessy fire started August 17 2020 from lightning strikes. It is 15 miles northeast of me around Lake Berryessa. It combined with two other fires. Burned 318,000 acres. 168,000 in Napa county. 250 homes. It is about 95% contained. Called the LNU fire now.

Talked to Skip (aka Junkyard Dog) via pm this week and learned he and his family are dealing with phase 3 evacuations in the Eagle Pt OR area. Our thoughts are with him and his family and hope they survive the fires up there safely.

Vallley Fire down in S. CAL (Pine Valley) is about 60% contained. Hopefully no fatalities there.

JYD is hunkered down as it's too smokey to go outside. There is a fire above and below him and he says both are moving away. He describes the general area as a "war zone"...

Latest update--JYD and his family are safe and well and didn't lose their homes. Something we can all be grateful for.
