I dont go near that corner unless I need to log in (I dont log out) but every 3 or 4 weeks I do need to log in again but according to the computer guru's it is something to do with the cookies.

I have this happen once or twice a year. I keep logging in several times but suddenly I will notice I'm not logged in a few minutes later. I've seen this randomly on a few websites, not just this one.

Usually ignoring it until the next day or totally shutting down my computer will make the problem will go away. Very well could be a random cookie glitch. You could try clearing history from your browser and see if it is cookie related like Tony says. You may have to google " How to clear my browser history" or "how to delete cookies" for your particular browser.

Yes, this is all about cookies and browsing history and which browser you are using and windows. The problem is not just with VCCA Chat. I have similar situations with other forums that operate on different software. Some are better than others.

Also, when you log in make sure you check the box "Keep Me Logged In".

I suspect we all get logged off when the software on the VCCA server gets rebooted.

Such is life online. Dean

T hanks to all that replyed. On the right side theres a place that says "kill cookies" guess i'll click on that. that should clear my cookies. One other question. there was like 5 boxes of replys on this page. Not sure what to click on , so I hit reply on the last box which was " Rustoholic" and I think posted here. Should I have used a different one like mine which was first and hit reply there? Not good with this stuff but I am really trying to learn. Thanks again, Doc.

If you want to reply to a particular post, click on the reply box within that post. If you want to make a comment to the thread in general, it doesn't matter which reply box you click on. Your post will always be inserted at the bottom of the thread at that point in time.

Cheers, Dean
