Dear All,
Very pleased to join your forum as a new and happy Belgian owner of a Chevrolet Fleetmaster 1948.
Everything is fine with the car which is in perfect condition (thanks to my brother who managed all the reconditionning/painting/aso...!) excepted...that he gave the clock for repair to a company which is now bankrupt... and no possibility to recuperate "my" clock. Bad luck for me !
I'm looking to purchase a "spare" clock but have here in Belgium no possibilities because (as far as I know) no old-timer-club Chevrolet is existing in my country.
Do you have any good suggestion to help me to find this part ? Apparently it was not an electrical clock (because I cannot find any wiring) but I think that an electrical and a mechanical clock was at that time existing.
I would like to insert in this post a photograph of the existing speedmeter but do not see how to do it. The clock should ideally match to the speedmeter (cylindrical - opening in the dashboard 13cm / +/- 5.11 inch - backplate black - digits light beige / outside ring also light beige). Picture will of course be send on first request in order to check if part is matching !
Thank you so much in advance for your help / b.r. / Edouard

The Fleetmaster came with a wind-up clock. There were three different brands of wind-up clocks used in production but all had the same face and colors. Clock was the same for 1947 and 1948.
The three brands were Lux, Waterbury, and westclox.
