Pictures can only be posted by VCCA members. Being a Chat member is not the same. You can join online and I believe it is only $25.00 for which you get ALL the member benefits. If you want the club magazine in printed form then the cost is more-$40.00 I think.

Photos can be posted by non-VCCA members but it is necessary to have the photo elsewhere on the web and have the "image" web address in the posting.

But this is just a link that displays, correct? The remotely hosted photo does not display here, only the link?
If that is not correct, when did it change?
I am a VCCA member, but I nearly always remote-host photos. When I wasn't a member, only the link showed in the posting.
It still got the job done, but I am just curious....

If you put your VCCA member number in your profile, then the forum Pixies will grant you photo posting/hosting privileges.

Bloo, You are listed as a VCCA member. So you should be able to post photos meeting the size criteria.

And, there is the rub. Size criteria. Chipper has never been more right. That little detail causes untold frustration for amateurs like me. And, even more frustrating is the seeming impossible for the club to fix it. That little deal has caused me to load my 1907 Colt forty-five and aim it at the screen. Thanks to single-action I haven't shot anything. For some posting pictures is near impossible here on the chat. It should be easier. Should too! Welcome to the club and keep your powder dry. Best, Charlie

Charlie, The photo size gets me too, and I do computers for a living. Who admins the board? Have we approached them to raise the 2mb per attachment limit? It seems like mine are always just under 3mb. I see the board go down every once in a while for changes, so I know they are actively working on it.

Peter Gariepy Administers the site. Photo size has been a common beef and is something he was trying to improve for us.
This is likely one of the easiest sites I've used for posting pictures if you have an iphone. Take the picture with your iphone and then email it to yourself. The iphone asks you to select the size and I simply pick the size under but closest to 2MB. You now have a picture under 2MB without having to convert the size.
If you don't have an iphone then you're stuck with annoying conversion software, which indeed sucks and my brain just shuts off even with an IT background...
