kinda a beginner here, hope you can answer some questions.
I have a 62 impala lowered front and back 3 1/2in. using custom lowered springs. I have a gm crate 350 and I want to put headers on. Should I get block huggers or is there a particular header where the clearence won't be a problem? Is there and difference in performance between the 2 headers? Also will I be ok to buy none ceramic coated headers? I know thats alot of questions, but I have noone else to ask also...My car doesn't seem to want to go much more than 100mph before it starts to back off and pop. Is it possible I need a higher voltage coil to increase rpm and spark? I am using an old accel yellow super coil that was passed from my dads chevelle to my car.
THanks for any help

This site is pretty much dedicated to original restorations and preservation of the originality of these cars, keeping in line with our clubs main objective. There might be someone who has experiance with this, and hopefully you will have your questions answered. You might want to place a post on chevytalk.com. There seems to be a larger group of people who deal with this type, and other types of modifications. I know this is not the answer you were looking for, but I hope it helps. Welcome aboard, and good luck with your project

62impala - you would have better luck getting an answer to your questions on a street rod related forum, I think. Try the link below. A "heads up', however: Before you ask a question on that forum, introduce yourself and tell them a little bit about yourself. They liken it to someone comming into their garage and introducing themselves and not just barging in. It's one of the protocols of the site. Good luck and if you ever get interested in restoring back to stock, come on back. Lots of knowledge about correct restoration on this site!
