My 34 Master (DA) 2 door sedan Coach is missing the gas tank neck filler grommet. We've checked parts books, including the Old Car Parts Manual Project website (http://chevy.oldcarmanualproject.com/parts/1929_41/41cp063.html.) and only found the part number 370746, for a Town Sedan and Sedan Delivery. There seems to be no separate listing for a
1934 DA Master 2 door Sedan Coach. I checked with Steele Rubber and The Filling Station and they do not have a grommet listed for the 2 door Coach either.

I'm guessing the 2 door Coach had a grommet!.....Does anyone know if part #370746 will also fit a 2 door Coach? Thank you!

The filler neck and the gas tank cover opening are fairly tight and it would be difficult to get a grommet into that space.

I took one for a 35 that was listed in steele's catalogue a few years ago and had to use a rotary file to open up the inside to get it to slide by filler neck. Took it out and went without it.

The Town Sedan and the sedan delivery use specialized gas tank covers.

If you really want a grommet type in the hole. Use windshield washer hose and split it with a razor knife and fit it in. Will give a nice finished appearance if that's what your after.

Was there ever a filler neck grommet from the factory on the 1934 Master coach?

I searched through all the parts books from 1935 and up and only found the grommet for the Town and Sport Sedans. NOthing for coupes or trunk-less models.

Thanks for all the input. 'Sounds like maybe the car never had a filler neck grommet! 'A little surprised. 'Will probably go without it or if it appears I need it, I may try modifying one or use the windshield washer hose idea. Thanks again for your interest and suggestions.
