The 307 was the base V-8 for cars and trucks.

I am building a model of a 68 El Camino and making it a base model,it came a a SS 396 so I sanded off the vinyl top and put in a bench seat and added a small block so I was curious on what the base V8 was for that year.

Base was a 307 with a 2 barrel.
The vinyl roof would have been an option for any model.
