According to the parts books and general specifications the Deluxe coupe had them but not the Special series.

If Piddler has no use for the seat back robes, I would be interested in the seat back robes, if the ones you have are for a 2 door model.

Tell us the condition and your price.

Bob.

That would be great. Let me know if you find them and the price. Did the two door models use the seat back ropes? I thought they were only on the four door models. If they were used on the two door models I need those also.

The assist straps were used on the 1951 2-door deluxe models as well.

Not a problem about the pictures. I take your word. I have no clue of the value so if you would let me know what you are asking I think we can get together. I am sure you will make a fair price.

I have the straps on the way. Now can anyone tell me how to locate the mounting location? Is there a point from which to measure to help locate where the screws go?

Thanks, Pete

went out looked at mine is your interior in if so the vertical piece that overlaps the headliner mine is stock from the factory of course center the metal holder then evenly divide the distance at the end of the vertical strip so that one screw hole is just above the end and the other screw just below the end of vertical strip other measurement i took was put a straight edge fro the top of windlace to the top of installed interior window moulding and measure one inch down to the top of the chrome piece and then screw it on the pillar i was lucky my holes were there from previous strap and if you had straps before there should be holes there hope this helps best i can do

Assuming piddler's car had straps at one time; could he feel the holes with his finger behind the cloth. Even if no straps originally I would think the factory would have the holes in all the cars instead of only the models that would come with factory straps.
