That one that comes on in its turn has a Cameo Cream 41 Cabriolet in the front row. Wouldn't it have been a much improved banner without all the other cars pictured with it? There are some banners with just one car. Why couldn't this one have been ammended to eleminate the inferior cars so that that lovely 41 could have shined in its own glory without having to share the limelight with relative junk by comparison?

I guess one could say, without contradiction, that the other cars merely make the 41 more "spactaculay." (See Sienfeld) That may be true but why is it that the 41 always has to take a back-seat to all the other Chevrolets? Don't seem right and is a crystal clear effort by the powers that be, to denigrate the only clear example in the lineup of history making example of automobile excellence. Mercy.

How can you see the current banner? I haven't been able to see it since the change in webmaster.

Charlie, are you talking about the banner on the main VCCA web site or at the top of Chatter?

The only banner I see at the top of Chatter is the club logo, some verbiage and a picture of my truck Justin. laugh

Dean,

It is the club banner. The one that recycles ever few seconds on the main page.

I like the '41, and the other cars too. Some folks like trucks, others like Vettes, and others like me appreciate the brass era cars.

Whatever floats your boat.

The '41 may be a pretty car, and I will say I liked the ride I had in your car, but the 3 on the "tree" is not considered "sporty. Consider this ... Chevrolet went from 3 on the floor to 3 on the column, but for sporty performance the shifter went back to the floor.... ;-)
Charlie ... all Chevrolets are beautiful, including the '41. ????

That shows a pic I am guessing of your wife so you must have your problem at least partly sorted.

Beamer,

Well, I would say that person luv2 right there is much prettier than my 41. Why did you have to go to such lengths to win this debate? That's tantamount to cheating. Let's just stick to cars, shall we?

I read in an old VCCA G&D years ago that the 1941 Special Deluxe coupe was the prettiest chevrolet ever made. Are you saying the G&D would ever print anything that had not been validated by some committee and then printed for all to see?

As John Wayne would have said "That'll be the day." Agrin

I have taken another look throgh the slide show banner, I think the cars could be improved by a better selection. More 41s. The pictures with the men and women are to cluttered to make out much detail. Best I can tell, the women are lovely and refreshing and spectacular (See Sienfeld). The men could have improved the photos by an enmass exit stage left. Leave it to the women to save the day. That lsdy standing by the 36 or so make that old car look right good. luv2By itself the car's photograph would have been tossed and not have made the cut. Again a beautiful lady saved the day. What would we do without them around to bail us out. Go figure. Agrin
