My dad’s parts collection contains three incomplete 6 cylinder engines and an assortment of crankshafts, camshafts, pistons, connecting rods, etc. He suggested that I haul them to the local metal recycler.
Historically I’ve done nearly everything dad told me to do (acknowledging exceptions when I was between the ages of 18 and 25!), but I am interested in your thoughts about finding someone that needs them.
Time will dictate when/if they go to the scrapyard. For now there is no urgency to dispose of them.
(Please move this post to the appropriate forum if this not the best place. )

I was able to get the casting numbers from the blocks today. Plugging the numbers in a Google search gave these results. In your experiences is there anything special (or interesting) about these?
Casting Number 839770 1 ea 1942-1953 216 CID
Casting Number 3837004 2 ea 1955-1957 235 CID
Casting Number 3769716 1 ea 1958-1962 235 CID
There are crankshafts and camshafts I need to sort. Ran out of time today.
