Patricks sells the short pumps for the 235, with a no hassle lifetime warranty.

I had one spring a leak, new one was sent to me, without any pump return.

You won't get that service from EBAY.

Steve, I do not need a pump now, I was replying to the poster who was looking for a pump for his '56 235 engine in his '50.

I do know I appreciated the no charge pump replacement from Patricks, after two years.

The original poster would need to check with Mothertrucker, regarding his warranty.

Yes I was aware of why you posted. I have a hard time recommending Patricks due to his slow shipping and quick credit card processing.

Steve, I can obviously only speak from my own experiences with Patricks over the last 18 years, with my '51's.

I have not experienced the problems you encountered with Patricks.

It would be interesting to know Mothertruckers warranty policy on purchased parts.

Patricks = $139.95, Mother = $135.00 ..... close I'd say.

I have not purchased from Mothertrucker so I can not speak from experience but seeing he is offering special pricing for VCCA members plus FREE freight I think it's a generous offer and worth patronizing. Also the fact that he promotes here is good - if he does not perform well all will know.

Folks on the H.A.M.B. site say Joe has an aggressive mannerism, but found him OK to work with.
Like you Steve, I have not made any purchases from him.

There is a water pump adapter made so a 54 on back pump can be used on the 55 to 52 motors but 2 holes need to be drilled in the block,I have one on the 57 235 in my 37 and have one to install on the 60 235 that will be going in.

I have heard of a few reports of guys that ended up with cracked engine blocks after drilling & tapping the holes in the block for that set up.

Use that adapter set up at your own risk.
