Tino, Tiny likely has some pics as I believe it was 1939 parts he installed on his car. The site is going down for a few days but he will see this post sometime.
If you PM me your email address, I can send you some pictures of what GM Canada installed on my 1938 for mounting tube shocks.

Since my '38 didn't come with tube shocks we had to fab supports to the frame for the upper mounts where they attach to the frame. The photos I have are of a '39 so it won't be plug & play if you're putting them on your '37. Put your email in your profile or post it here and I'll send them to you. Thanks Tim.

Woo Hoo I can finally post pictures easily without using nasty hosting sites!!!
Attached are 4 pictures of the factory front shock mounts on my 1938 Canadian Pontiac Coupe. It should be almost identical to the Chevy Coupe with straight axle except mine has the tube mounts and a sway bar from the factory. I'm not certain how the frame is supported for the top mount - it must have something inside to keep from collapsing the frame. All the pieces look easy to replicate.

Perfect! Thank you Tim. That's easy to replicate. The 37 Chevy has lever arm shock absorbers and the holes are on the same position at the frame. Need to drill one more hole in the straight axle on each side only. Is there an official document were this suspension system is shown? User manual, spec or part list? Would make it easier to pass our Technical Supervisory Association (TÃœV).
37 Freak I would not drill the beam axle. I would make a plate to to bolt under the axle using the "U"bolts and if needed get an new u bolt made up to reach through the extra thickness. Tony
No need to drill the axle at all. On my '38 there were no holes for the upper mounts. We drilled the frame then reinforced the holes with slugs (tubing through the frame and welded on both sides) for the upper mounts. The lower mounts bolt to the axle where the springs mount.
