Mine did not have one on it and looked like it never did so I was wondering did any come with one from the factory,I glued carpet on the firewall since it did have carpet but now I made a rubber mat and going to redo the interior soon so I think I remember that they are being made and will look into one.

I think one was sold by a couple vendors for the earlier trucks and I am going to look into one if they are still being made, that firewall can get warm on hot days. I put the splash pans back on and I have less heat from the firewall now but still could use some insulation, was told that could happen and it did.

Jeff,
Here's one on ebay for $125 + $50 shipping:

If you made your own what material would you use?

I do not know what type of material I would use,I probably would glue jute backing to the firewall and then take some black vinyl and sew it up to fit and then glue it to the jute. I would go 125 for one but do not want to pay almost half for shipping.
