A man in Norway searching for details about his father's car on Madagascar. He writes: My father and his brother bought, according to my father's diary in December 1934, a Chevrolet 14HK conduite interienne in Madagascar, at that time a French colony. Is it possible to find out more specifically what car this could be: the year of manufacture and model? They paid 9000 Francs, and thought it was a bargain. I did not talk to my father or uncle about this car while they lived, so now I'm dependent on the help of others. Conduite interienne, translated should be a sedan. In late 1933 Chevrolet started to make a Town Sedan included an integral trunk. Could this be such a car, and Master type? Could it have been built in South Africa, instead of brought from Europe?

14HK does not translate into any US model number.
