In the "general Discussion " forum several have expressed issues with logging in to chat. I log in and out on all visits but this time I have checked the remember me box as a test. Well to me the "remember me" box is useless. I still have to log in manually as I have always done but at least I did not have to change my password. Also when logging in the "remember me" box is now unchecked so it appears it fails to be properly formatted or programmed. While I am not looking for an instant cure it would be nice if there was a reply to acknowledge that the issue is being addressed.

Those with issues with Chat a PM to Peter_Gariepy, administrator, would be appropriate. An email to Peter is advised for any issues with the VCCA website as he is the webmaster.

I use the "remember me" checkbox and can go months without having to login again. I'm using multiple computers and multiple browsers and phones.

The only times I have to login is if I run a DISC CLEANUP on my drive or I delete browser history. This is identical behavior to the dozen or so sites I use.

Some people set up their browser to "delete history on exit" and this will log you out.

There are so many versions, patches and updates that it doesn't take much to see some unexpected "features". Likely best to make direct contact with Admin with details on your specific browsers and operating systems.

I agree with Tim that the behavior you see on your computer is most likely a result of the settings in your web browser.

I used the "Remember Me" check box and normally do not have to log in when I open VCCA Chat from the shortcut on my desktop. I am using IE 11 and have it set to delete browsing history when I exit. Yet somehow it remembers my Chat credentials.

To me this is another mysterious example to support my theory that Bill Gates is really controlling the world!

It is working correctly for me now also. Think it happened when they changed servers.

Keith, my "correction" occurred yesterday, 3-2-2018.

I did nothing to prompt this "correction", but am pleased, just the same.

Same ole stuff again ....... logging in each time today that I visit the VCCA site.

A sad scenario.

And I have had just the opposite experience. No hic cups for me changing over to the new format. I log in, check the block to keep me logged in and I'm good for a long time. yay Occasionally (maybe once a month ) I have to log in again. I can understand it must be frustrating to have to do it every time, especially if you are like me and check the site several times a day.

I have Emailed the entire thread to the "webmaster" . Hopefully it will be helpful . Adding photos to a post has become quite easy and when we get over the PM and logging in issues I think we will be way ahead of where we were.

Dick,
Yes, like you, I do check the site several times per day ..... I think that procedure is called "addiction".
For me, this "log in" concern has nothing to do with the new format.
Instead, the log in issue began last summer and the previous webmaster, B.B., stated it was my computer and a cookie issue.
This VCCA website was the ONLY site affected, so I do not believe it was a "cookie issue".
It all cleared up a few days ago ...... without me making any changes, because I would not know how to make changes.
Now today. 3-6-2018, it's back to log in every time.
I can deal with it, but should not need to do so.

I guess I should not have commented on having no issues with the log ins. Starting last Sat I now have to log in every day (sometime twice a day) even after I check the box to keep me logged in.

Yep, welcome to the chosen few who " check in" each visit.
