I have a water housing marked with casting #3053255. My 29-42 parts book lists it in parts group 1.251 as a Housing, car heater. 29-36 all. My problem is I see no place on my 1933 207 engine that it will fit. Is it possible this is for a std. The gasket surface is rectangle 4x2 5/8
with 1 7/8 hole forward and a 1" hole to the rear. 4 bolt holes
Thanks, George

The upper thermostat housing in my 1932 Chevrolet has a casting number 3053255. Is this the part you are trying to identify? I think the thermostat was only used on cars with heaters. Tom

Yes that's the part, so I see a person would need both the upper and lower part to make it work. I have the upper part if any one is interested in it. Its n.o.s.
