I’m brand new here. I’m having trouble figuring out floor boards on my disassembled 31 Pickup. I’m sure the layout is similar to many other Chevys of this era. Anyone have good interior photos of the floor, seat bottom, etc? Thank you!

I am assuming you have a closed cab pickup. I don't have one with wood in the cab but can take a few photos of a 1931 Roadster Pickup floor in a couple of days if someone does not have a closed cab they can photograph.

Yes! Mine is a closed cab 1/2 ton. I can’t figure out the toe board. Is it two pieces? Or single piece that extends across. Mine reaches from the right side to a few inches past gas pedal hole.

The toe board is a single piece. It extends from side to side between the metal cowl and the floor board. There is a rectangular cutout for the pedals and steering column that is covered by two metal plates. There is a hole for the accelerator rod. Another cutout covered by a "D" shaped metal plate that has the foot rest screw on in the center. A notch for starter rod. I can probably take a photo of the one I made for my Roadster Pickup after I do my chores. It should be the same as it uses the came commercial cowl. My floor board may be different (I don't know for sure) as the cab from cowl back is very different from a closed cab.

Okay cool! Thank you! My toe board is obviously broken or rotted away. I’d hate to buy one so any good photos would be a huge help. I’m also curious what the bracket looks like that holds the steering column up? And..... I have a million more questions :)

A set of the correct floor board and toe board is listed on ebay now, and it has the photos you're looking for: Ebay Floor Board Listing The listing says they are 1929-30 boards, but I believe they are 1931-32 boards since they have a rounded rectangular opening for the bell housing clearance. Either way, it gives you a good idea of what they look like. Hope that helps......... All the Best, Chip

 The boards look like '31-'32. The truck will look the same but have different dimensions as it uses the commercial cowl and not the passenger one.

Okay, I’m getting the floor figured out and the steering column. As it turns out there’s a steel patch welded into the dash where the column clamp attaches and there are no holes drilled.
Next question - could someone send me a picture of the rod (?) that holds brake and clutch pedals. I’m not sure what it looks like and if I have it.

I found the rod that holds the pedals. Now I’m having a hard time passing it through the bracket that secures it :/

Fellas,
Could someone do me a favor? Send me a picture or link to a picture
of clutch and brake pedals attached to the rod and bracket on any early ”˜30’s Chevy. Is there a spacer between pedals? Also would like to see a closeup of the bottom of parking brake and how the adjustable rod attaches.

I can also help if Dave has any trouble finding his. Please note that the pedal arrangement changed siginificantly in 1931. The '29-'30 arrangement is quite different from the '31-'32 arrangement.
