HAVE A chance to get a full oiler 56 235 i would like to keep the stock look of the 216 valve cover so the question is will a 50 216 head work on a 56 235 by just switching heads if not i guess will just have to live with the stock 4-screw valve cover

No-non-no....but you could replace the two bolts that hold down the rocker arms with the long studs from a 216 and use the older looking valve cover. Whats wrong with the 216 that is in the car now?

well if that all it takes is to change the bolts thats great.nothing wrong with 216 but if something would go wrong it would cost me a fortune to have the lower half rebuilt just got a call on a 54-235 a guy just pulled he is going the V-8 route
