did chevy ever make a replacement rear fender for 49-50. i see complete rear quarter from time to time but never just the fender skin.the reason am asking getting rid of not needed stuff ran across sheet metal.the replacement fender has all the same features as a rear section i saved from a western car i stripped 40 some odd yrs ago put them side by side no difference but also have another section i bought from some one in akron, ohio it does not have the same features as the western car the fender had some numbers on it but i didnt bother to write the ones i could see down i want to sell this part but dont want to mislead anyone thanks
ps unless i find out differently i am going to say it is a nos factory replacement fender why would you replace the quarter if only the fender was dented anyone any thoughts

YES they did. On a 1949 and 1950 it went up to the crown moulding so it was easy to hide the seam
For 1951-1954 it went up to the same area but metal finishing was necessary to hide the seam
It is listed as quarter panel fender section For some reasons it is listed for 2 and 4 door models. Often just part of the "fender" was used for repairs.

Maybe some pictures might drum up some interest. Be a shame to toss any old parts someone might need somewhere. Just might take a bit.
