I left a cruise night late a few days ago which forced me to drive about 15 miles with my lights on. This was a first. About half way home my dash gauge light went out. Headlights and taillight were fine (all 6volt). Tonight I used my lights and the dash light did not come on again. I made a stop, shut the engine off. Thinking it might be the bulb or a fuse I ignored it for now. When I started the car up again the dash light came on but dimmer than usual and surged a bit. My battery is fully charged.
Has anyone else experienced this?

I would suspect the dash light terminal on the light swich screw is loose or the switch contacts are bad.
Your car has only one fuse for all the driving lights.

Try moving the switch off and on several times. I am guessing the contacts are getting oxidized from sitting and not being used. My 32 does that as I very rarely drive it at night.
