Does anyone know what the difference between a 361926 (non-special high performance) and a 361925 special high performance timing cover? I presume it is the timing marks but would like to know.

Thanks

Dave

the 250/300 harmonic balancers are smaller diameter than the 340 and 360 HP balancers , hence the timing tabs are in different locations on the timing chain cover. you can buy repo timing tabs from Paragon corvette shop in michigan, then spot weld the tab on your cover. best to degree the engine so the tab is located properly. mike

Mike, Thanks for the info. I have the big balancer and the marks don't interfere. I must have put the correct cover on it but it was 40 years ago and I could not remember.

Thanks again

Dave
