Does anyone know how you can tell what year of a roadster a front windshield might have come from? Or from any car for that matter, I don't know absolutely that it came from a roadster, it just resembles it.

I purchased some stuff from a gentlemen and there was a windshield in the mix, it looks to be that of the roadster, I'm wanting to unload it but have no idea how to market it considering I don't even know what it came off of. Can anyone help?

Jeff, if you'll post a few photos of the windshield, I'd bet some of us who are into the open cars will be able to identify what you have (if it's a Chevy windshield). For 1929-32 at least, the roadsters and the phaetons used the same windshield; 1929-1931 were nearly identical and 1932 is totally different.

All the Best, Chip

In the early years 10s and 20s the open car windshields can cover several years. Some are single and others top and bottom. In '29 there are early and late, 30 is similar but slightly different. '31 by itself as is '32. Yes definitely post a couple of pictures as well as dimensions.

If it is identified as a Chevrolet then price it fairly and you should be able to sell it in the for sale section.

Failing to get any kind of response on here , put it on ebay.

As Requested, measurements are approx, didn't really know how you take measurements on a windshield.

Looks like my 1925 Roadster. Don't have access to it as it is secured for the winter.

Jeff - This is definitely not 1925.
1924, or earlier roadster and touring.

unfortunately something like this would fit a tremendous amount of pre 1929 cars. Your really in a tough place trying to correctly identify it .

To start with the cowl that it mounts too , is heavily curved judging by the curvature of the lower glass frame and the height of the windshield itself.

Wish you luck finding out.

Sorry it took so long. Those are the same measurements as my 24 Roadster windshield. Even the side curtain snaps are in the same approximate spot. I wondered what kind of nut was used to hold the top down, looks like I need big square nuts.
