I want to say "hello" first... I registered a long time ago, but I guess I never introduce myself to the community...:

My name is Oliver and I live in Berlin / Germany.
I bought my 1947 Fleetline Aerosedan in 2014, with no motor for a slnt buck. It was overall good condition. What makes it cheaper was the fact, that it is a african car -> righthand steering!

3 years later that is solved - and the car is disassembled, sandblasted... I traded the steering/dash with a british guy who had the same "problem".

Hope to get the money together soon for rust repair... not really much, but in tricky areas.

So much for that...

Greetz
Oliver

Welcome. As you may know if you have been reading posts, many very knowledgeable folks participate on Chat. There is a guy in Stuttgart Germany "Alligator" (don't know how far away from you) that has been repairing his Chevy much like I expect you will need to do. He probably will offer his help and experiences.

The photos of the car and body on rotisserie can be seen if you copy the link between the image and correct the cm to .com in the address. That feature is put into addresses to reduce misuse by bots, spiders, etc.

The car and shop look really nice. Better than I have for sure.
