question...........the impalas and other large bodied Chevrolet had optional......outside door handle "SCRATCH GUARDS" . I see them for sale on ebay. Did the 64-65 Nova chev 11 also have these accessories available. So far no luck finding out . Also would the nova and the impala use the same mounting spaced outside door handle ???????????? thanks mike lynch...........

They also must fit the contour of the door panel.

pretty sure the nova 65 SS car for sale on ebay USA has these same scratch shields as shown on ebay for 62--65 impalas. Have same amount of stamped in bars and hole locations seem similar. Look pretty snazzy on the car. still hoping somebody has accessory catalogue for the 64-65 nova. http://r.ebay.com/UCujIimike lynch

Chevrolet called it a door handle shield. 1960 was the last year it was listed in the accessory book....and for full sized cars only, not the Corvair.
The site you mentioned says 1960 and 1961 but that would not be possible as the doors had a completely different curve in 1961.

So, the full size Chevrolets belairs, impalas , ect had the accessory door handle shields available up to about 1961 and the nova's chevy 2 of the 62--65 era did not. Okay. But I like that somebody had a pair of what looks like 1960--61 door handle shields and used them on the 62--65 nova body, and they look like they belong. mike lynch
