I have had our car judged in VCCA, AACA, and VMCCA and I do not know of any deductions for other club identification being on the car.

Hello all:

The VCCA Judging Manual does not address the issue of a VCCA vehicle which has other judging awards / decals on the vehicle. I have never seen any point deductions given for a vehicle which has achieved an award from the AACA or NCRS.

We do not deduct for awards from AACA or other clubs but we have the same expectation of our awards. We have deductions for vehicles that do not display their VCCA awards at VCCA meets. This has not been a big issue and we have had a big increase in displays in many magazine pictures. We want owners to be proud of all of their awards, including ours. Our awards are just as nice to show as any club in the country. A lot of effort went into their design and implementation. Wear them proudly.

Did the judges say why they gave low points on the 57 olds ? Might be the McCagh racing decal ???? Everybody loves a woodie .

I suggest checking with the AACA Judging Chairman. I think they will tell you what points are deducted for. I have a vehicle with VCCA Senior Oval, Touring Oval, HPOCF Oval mounted on the front license plate. I have received the AACA HPOF and HPOF Original with this vehicle. I also have a VMCCA decal on one of the windows.

I'm an AACA judge.

Other club badges will NOT be deducted. Window decals are another issue, but a typical deduction would be no more than a few points, if any. Here is the wording directly from the AACA Judging guidelines:

4. BADGE DISPLAY
a. Badges and license plate frames with club names other than AACA will NOT be subject to a deduction for authenticity, if they are appropriate to the vehicle and displayed in good taste. They will be judged for condition.
b. Excessive display of club badges will result in a total deduction of not more than two points.
c. Advertising badges are not acceptable, regardless of the number or manner in which they are displayed.
