OP Mudbug Grease Monkey Joined: Jan 2002 Posts: 1 colleyville, texas	I am trying to determine if a starter from a '63 292 will fit a '56 ?ci. I know I wont be able to keep the pedal start( I wish I could though), but I dont know what else to do.Can anyone help ? Thanks, Mudbug

If you need assistance with a "rebuild" to correct factory performance and appearance - let me know - I can set this up. The 292 is a newer casting block and the starter will not work on the '56 engine block. The nose, armature, and solenoid are considerably different (which I am sure you know). Oliver J.
