Gary Wallace http://www.20schevyparts.com/ has the casting. He lists one on ebay occasionally.

I believe that part is being reproduced and is available from several sources, Gary Wallace is one that had them. Filling Station may have them as well. Is your Remy Gen number 950A?

I just got a new generator end housing and new oil pump for my 1924 from the Filling Station. Not cheap. Gary Wallace has them also for about the same price. Tom

Not much is cheap on these old cars, but sometimes you can buy the whole thing/item on ebay for less and use the parts you need, with plenty left over for future repairs. You just have to check ebay regularly and NOT overpay.

About ten years ago I had to have my complete generator assembly rebuilt. I had some kind of after market oil pump on it so I changed that. Had the distributor rebuilt (broken housing) and generator rebuilt with new end cover. (cracked) By the time I was finished I had spent about $900. So it can be expensive, but you have to do what you have to do to get it running.

There's some more discussion about these parts here:

Geez, I see whole generators for my 28 going for less than the replacement parts on Ebay occasionally. Seems easier to just buy an ebay one and use the parts or rebuild it. I guess I'll keep the backup spare I had rebuilt for $55 last summer. I was thinking of selling it (a lot cheaper than those parts) but not now. I'll hang on to it for the future in case I ever need it.
