Re my '65 Impala (327 ci) - I just overfilled the reservoir for the power steering. Did I create a problem or? Any action necessary?
Also, local auto store said I could use automatic transmission fluid - "it's the same thing". Is this correct?
Many thanks.

In 1965 ATF was the required fill for power steering. If it is overfilled it may push out a little fluid when the wsteering wheel is truned to the max, in one direct or the other....but you didn't and won't harm anything.
