USA	Hello mark38, I had recently replaced the the gasket under my '37 cowl vent and the hardware was 1/4-20x1/2 inch, the head is large and single slotted with a lock washer and square nuts. I replaced mine with hex head bolts and added flat washers to the nut side because of the slot on the bracket. Dave old cars are meant to be driven !! VCCA # 047832
