Jeff
Your truck looks real good, obviously a lot of effort that has paid off.

Are you running a thermostat? My 38 with a 216 was fast to warm up even with the heater valve shut off, and it has the heavy duty thick core radiator.

It has a 180 thermostat and has a 4 row radiator, most of the cold nature is probably from the Fenton headers and not much heat to the intake. I added the hose before I got a heat kit for the intake but its still kind of old natured.

The trucks been on the road for 13 years and I need to change the interior,I done the interior in 99 when the streetrod craze of leather and tweed was in so that is what it has but thinking about a dark brown leather that is close to the original color and red bead and thread to match the body.

Done some tinkering on it today and got it running much better, when I was chasing down the rattle in the motor I bumped the timing back thinking it was spark knock but never bumped it back up after finding the source of the rattle and it was a little slow. I came close to going back to 4.10 gears but I now can put it in 5th under 50 without dragging the motor down a bunch, its still got the rattle but it will run good until it lets go. I have a supposively low mile 235 that I need to make a stand to fire it up before thinking about installing, that is not going to be a easy motor change since the front clip will need to be removed so I wont scratch the paint. I could not find the ball on the flywheel on this motor and will make sure its on the replacement motor.

At the time I painted it (1995) it was a inexpensive red at 35 dollars a gallon where most was getting towards 100 or more and I think its called graphic red and can not remember the manufacture.
