https://www.facebook.com/1946RarebusCOEThere's little to no info out there on this horse of a rig. I will be pushing on with this to get it done. I want to keep it as "original" or as original as I can get. There will be pictures uploaded at F/B as I move forward.

There are some pics of my Brother's '40 COE bus in the thread about my '36 Low Roof 1.5 ton semi truck. Look on pages 5 and 6. We have a few if the '41-'46 COE trucks also. I can't wait to see more photos of your rig.

Could not find pictures of yours. I'm new to this and so many buzz around this site like it's not an issue for others. Breaking news - I'm screwed at this site. Back in my day - we looked things up in books and mags - not on the net. ROTFL!! Feel free to contact me through email and send stuff there - or even questions. But to have me drive around this site might be asking for a little too much (lol).. I'm only 52 - but feel 150 years old here. For me, an "Ipod" is something a frog hangs around..

Your link worked just fine for me. What a project!!! And I thought my '48 tow truck needed work. :-) It will certainly be very cool when finished. Good luck!!!

Thank you kindly.. Yes,, the "bus" end of it will have to be torn down to its framing (outer skin and inner skin) and built back up. Most see it as junk..
I'm needing help and am hoping the locals up here will lend that hand and stay for the long haul of doing it.
Someday it would be cool to drive it down to Norwood Ohio (where it was built).. I know the plant is now gone :-(.. I will travel to show it though..

Any updates on your bus project? I'm really digging the fact that someone is restoring a bus!

Chev made the COE long wheelbase (5712 FVCHW) chassis for your bus. Who made the body? My 37 Chev/Flxible was made in Loudonville, Ohio. < http://home.znet.com/x1937/Flx.htm> It's a cab forward bus. There are some pictures of 37 COE buses at: http://home.znet.com/p1937/Bus.htm. Good luck, Lou
