I saw a '69 Impala Custom parts car today (possibly restorable) that has bucket seats and a console. Since the only SS in '69 was the SS 427, I'm trying to find out what kind of option was the buckets and console on a non-SS 427 car? Was it a package by itself or was it a package that included other items with it?

Any other info related to this car would be appreciated.

Hi Bill,
That Impala sounds like a nicely equipped '69.
In '69 RPO A51 Strato type bucket seats were available in Impala and Caprice 2 door.My research indicates that 28,894 A51 '69 full size were produced.Fairly rare, but not super rare<g>.Definitely worth removing if car is parted out.Be sure to get the steering column as well! The complete bucket seat/console/steering column and related electrical harnesses,hardware,etc..should bring approx $1,000.Being an L48 350-300 car it should also have a 12 bolt rear end and most likely a turbo 350 trans.Nice combo. What colors is it?

Most 1969 impala SS have the buckets option, anyway was an optional of the SS option, i can tell you that because during the researches for my 69 impala, comes out that existed some very rare, i repeat VERY RARE 1969 impala conv SS 427 with bench seat.
