Bought new hands to put on my clock from 47 Chev. Does anyone know how to get the center disc off that the minute goes on ? It has to come off the shaft to get at the hour hand. I tried just pulling on it thinking it was pressed on. That didn't work. Tried to screw it off thinking it was threaded on.That didn't work either. I decided to experiment on a junk clock and have just about destroyed it trying to get the d--- thing off. No luck yet.
Hate to admit it but it has me stumped. What is really bad, is the fact that I replaced the hands on another one about ten years ago but can't remember how I did it. Any advice would be appreciated.
Thanks

Check out the posting on services offered for clock repair. Perhaps a phone call would be of value.
