Am I going to have a hard time finding any ale mite grease fittings
For a 31 chev?

Go on line and put Alemite or Alemite Fittings and you will probably find a supplier. I did that to find a grease gun fitting to replace the one I lost. I found a local store called Motion Industries. I have the fittings on our 31. They are available from McMaster-Carr.
