I just checked my transmission case number and found it is from a 1946 truck ( part #590715). What are my chances of finding the correct transmission for my 1936 highcab that was (built in nov.of 1935)? I want this to be a show truck. Thank you. Tom

That is the correct transmission for a 1935-36 GMC 1/2 ton. I don't know if Chevrolet used the same transmission, however quite a few parts interchange between the GMC and Chevrolet for those years.
