Anyone have a recommendation for a set of trim rings for the stock 15 inch wheels. I saw some on the vendor sites but don't know the quality of chrome versus stainless and if they just press in/on or if there is something special about getting them to stay on the wheels.

Any help is appreciated. chevy
Thanks
Craig

Is your 1949 panel a 1/2 ton. 15" wheels are rather rare on a half ton and they would use the same 15" trim ring as a passenger car. They are the trim ring that is recessed in the center (if cut in a cross sectiion)

Hi, thanks for the response. My 1/2 ton is running a set of 15 inch car wheels I guess. I have 6" and 5 1/2" widths. Will any of the 15" trim rings work?

Some trim rings are narrower that others, I made the mistake of purchasing a set of stainless that are to deep for the wheels and at close inspection look as if they are trying to fall off. They have stayed on for over 15,000 miles but I made a mistake and should have checked them closer prior to purchase.

HI, thanks for the advice. The hard part is you can't tell much from the pictures in the catalogs or online. They don't give a very good description so I can see how you could get some that don't fit right. Maybe some other folks will chime in and tell me who a good vendor is for buying some.

Thanks again.

According to one of the guys in my region, Bill Hirsch out of Newark NJ has the original style trim rings for 15" Chevies.
You can google him to download his catalog. $30 ea. I'm told they're really nice.

Thanks to everyone on the trim rings. And I'll try a re-post over in the truck forum also but the advice you have supplied should do me. THANKS A BUNCH parking
