On page 14 in the current January issue of G&D is a picture of Louis Zastrow's 49 Convertible. On the ends of the grill are stainless pieces which I have never seen. Are these factory accessories just for a 49? Beautiful car and my favorite issue of G&D yet as I think 49-50 Chevys(especially Fleetlines) are best.

They are a seldom seen aftermarket item.Notice also the car has after market fog lights that are built into the grille = not to mention it has 1950 accessory guards.

I noticed a lot of the 49's in that article have the optional 1950 bumper wraps. Perhaps thats why I can't seem to find a set for my '50. We need to start hitting these guys harder on the judging forms so they are more inclined to sell them!!
Those accustomed to the finest...find it in Chevrolet. 1953 Belair Convertible 1951 2dr Deluxe Sedan 2015 GMC SLE 4X4

I saw a pair for sale on Ebay 2 weeks ago...They were misidentified though...Seller listed them as '48 wrap-arounds...
