I have a 1941 Chevrolet Sedan that has never had a radio before. I have a 1946 radio that I would like to install. The 1942 to 1948 radios were commonly installed in many models including the 1941 model. My question is:

I know the radio is mounted to the dash with the nuts on the dial knob stems. But, there is also a brace on the back that is mounted to the car. I bought two different brackets from Chevs of the 40s. The brace is bolted to the left side of the radio. However, I have no idea where the brace bolts to the car. So, where under the dash do I bolt the support brace?

It is bolted to the dash brace on the driver's side. If you install the radio and the brace it will hit the dash brace. So, just fiddle with it unattached to the radio and you will see where it will lap over the topside of the dash brace. dance

Good luck.

Got it. Thanks! Someone had installed a wire clip in the bolt hole on the brace. That's why it wasn't so obvious at first.
