This is actually a two-part question. First, how can I tell what month and what week my 57 Belair was produced. On the firewall trim tag, there doesnt seem to be any markings like later models would have (i.e., 12b, December/2nd week). Also, is there a way that I can find out more info on the car? Pontiac has PHS documentation! Ford has a Marti report! What about Chevrolet? I would like to find out my cars history, from what dealership it was sold at to now. Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

The month it was made can be determined by the serial number. The exact day really can't be determined but the approximate time of the month can.

Chevrolet will not have any history.

As an example the production in June from the Flint plant had serial numbers from 267216 through 292707. There were ten plants producing passenger cars in the US.

Thanks Chevgene! I figured if anyone would have an answer, it would be you. LOL The last six of my VIN is 161130 and the car was build at the Los Angeles plant. Can you enlighten me any further? Thanks again.

The last car made in March had a 158450 serial number and the last car in April was 168938 so your about the first week in April.

Thanks Chevgene!! You always astound me with your vast knowledge. If I could only learn what you've forgotten! Thanks again.
