Saw this on a FB site. An owner of one claims they were "a special run of 2dr Nomads," while another states a "B.S. rumour of a special order for US Navy Admirals"...

Any truth to any of this, or just a Brookwood with added Impala trim?

Put together recently, or in 1959?

BS.... Never heard of it until now, not even a rumor or urban myth. They did a nice job I think the skirts kill it, such a nice wheel opening no need for the skirts.

I think an Admiral would be more of a Buick owner, the Buick were a good 10 inches longer. Also a better shot for a custom body, the Buick wagons were built by Livonia Body not Fisher Body

We know the Brookwood 2 door wagon existed, but not with Impala mldgs.

Someone added the Impala mldgs to the Brookwood, as Gene suggested.

If I had a buck for each time I read about a "RARE" car, I wouldn't be sitting here with my computer.

I'd be spending those "bucks", buying those imaginary rare cars, that I have read about. dance

I'll put a request in. I don't think the person posting the photo owned the car though...

In my much younger years, I always wanted to put my '58 Nomad Trim on a '58 Yeoman 2-Dr Wagon, lol.

There was indeed a '59 Nomad wagon. It had 4 doors and used "Impala level" trim but I don't think it had any name on it other than Nomad. My buddy had one in his woods for several years.

Friend of mine here in Southern Oregon has a 1959 Nomad Wagon; he's owned it for years. Mostly original except for the wheels and tires.

In 1959 the top line wagon was a Nomad. But only 4 door models were made.

I don't think that the question was if a Nomad was produced in 59, just if a 2 door was produced

the only 2 door NOMADS i ever heard of were shop built.
been hunting down 59 IMPALAS last 18 years
never run across a factory built car not even in passing with other collectors

Yes,Ray it's a real rare Nomad......Nomads were made from 1955 to 1961! 55 to I believe 1957 in 2dr., 58 to 61 in a 4dr. I had a 1960 4dr Nomad, my neighbor had a red and white 4dr 1961 9 passenger,348 engine Nomad wagon,and the 1st Impala wagon was 1962, I had one in Germany in 1970..... joeyk3950
