The Victorian era to the 1980s

There are numerous online shops many places, may be also shops you can visit in your district. Search idea on the net and you will find a lot of exiting costumes to wear when you're driving the old Chevrolets. Good Luck!!!!

yay ok yay
Kari (my wife) has just finished changing a suit bought on eBay into a smart uniform for me as taxi chauffeur from 1920ties. I also bought a lovely (correct) pair of longlegged boots for the costume recently. They were, however, pretty stiff, so I poured a lot of neatsfoot oil inside and "painted" the outside as well. I put a pair of shoe form stretcher mold, also bought on eBay, in them after oiling. By now they are restored to a useful condition for driving my 490 in a old fashion style.

I will put some pictures of several outfits a bit later. bigl

Hope you readers also can come up with some pictures of the costumes you use when driving your beauties!

PS. If you need some neatsfoot oil for leather work (clothing, foot wear, cone clutches, harness etc,) check at the shops selling equipment for horses. dance

Is there any ample supply of vintage 30's 40's clothing for men? Im not exactly finding what i want.
Quite a number of suppliers have specified what they stock from different yearperiods, style and sizes. You should be able to search for some having what you want, but you will have to search for several, I think, to get a good choice.

You may also try a text on Google like this:

good choice of men's clothing from 30 - 40ties

and scroll down the upcoming pages.

I am deeply honoured:

This thread has reached 6000 visits from April 2007. I other words 136 visitors have clicked on that stuff each month (for 44 months) to search for possible tips to costumes.

I really hope the costume competition in Flint will show up to be with numerous members and with lots of quality and fun. Also hoping many more (than before) will wear the right clothing from now on, and not ONLY in Flint!

I will upgrade some of the thread before end of this year.

Thanks for all your visits!
