Yeah...just what is a traffic light finder??
How does it work?
Is it anything to do with tall guys like me having to crank their necks down to see up at the traffic lights?

Yep! It is a prism affair that was an accessory in the 1950's that mounted on the lower windshield garnish moulding. When you looked through this prism, it would reflect an image of the traffic light hanging high overhead so that you could see when the light changed to green. This accessory was used mainly when the car had an accessory outside sun visor installed. The metal sun visor stuck out so far that the driver couldn't see the traffic light hanging high overhead unless he ducked down or tipped his head sideways.  laugh laugh

And, given my advanced age and arthritic neck I am about to spring for a reproduction from the Filling Station! bigl Agrin
